Day 1

First day morning 8.30am we took bus from Melaka to KLIA2. I was quite worried that we will be late for the flight at 11.45am. Lucky enough, it took only 2hours to reach hehe. After printed out our flight tickets, we walked around in the airport before boarding.

Selfie in the bus weeee~

The walkway to the boarding room was super far!! We walked and walked and then ran towards it as we heard the flight was last-called for the passengers! We only realized that we were the last passengers to board for the flight T_T" Fortunately we were able to get in it. Thank GOD! And then we took a selfie again lolol.

Not forget to selfie >_<
On the way!

In just an hour, we arrived at the HatYai airport and took a cab to the town. Was glad that we didn't ride on a tuktuk despite the hot weather and far journey. The fare was cheap too (250baht). After half an hour (?), we reached at Lee Garden shopping mall to have our first meal here. We chose to dine in this restaurant called Shabushi Buffet after we read lots of recommendations from travel blogs.

Unlimited free-flow of steamboat foodies!

The lunch was satisfying since both of us were already hungry that time. Plus steamboat is always my favorite and the tender pork is unlimited flow :PP After that, we simply walked around the mall and went out to take a tuktuk to our hotel. We were so exciting because we 'officially' can feel the Thailand's atmosphere already xD

Along the short ride, we enjoyed the cool breeze after a little drizzling earlier. Upon arrived at the hotel, we booked the tuktuk and promised for 1 day trip tomorrow for 1300baht.

Check in - The Color Hotel. The hotel looks modern, new and clean. The staffs can speak English. They are helpful and friendly :)

River view from our room
Complimentary drinking water and.. FREE WIFI!
The bathroom is spacious

After the hiao po selfie session, finally we were ready to go out for shopping ^^

FIRST! I must post these pics before I forgot. Few steps away from our hotel, we stopped by this fruit stalls to quench our thirst. These mini crystal pineapples were my bestie's favorite throughout this trip lol. She said it's unforgettable because the pineapples were very fresh and juicy. We have tried some from other stalls and they taste overly sweet and 'fake', like they were dipped in sugar water >.<

Our first stop is Odean shopping center.
Ground floor - Starbucks, Naraya, Men & Women Apparels.
First floor - Supermarket (we swept lots of snacks like seaweeds & peanuts etc here). Lots of Disney & cartoon merchandise items too!

So much disney items at the store! See my favorite stitch!

We walked straight to the Central Mall which is located opposite Lee Garden mall where we had steamboat earlier. It's more or less like Parkson. It's about evening when we saw vendors start to set up their stalls outside Lee Garden. We quickly attracted by the Mango Sticky Rice. It's sooo yummy. The mango is not too sweet and the sticky rice is fragrant. We finished it in just few minutes xD

Theresa was totally indulged by this stall which sells so many varieties of kuih. In fact they looks so colorful and attractive. There was an unforgettable memory here where an auntie was so kind-hearted that she paid for our kuih without asking back. It happened because the vendor refuse to accept big paper note and we had no clue where to change it. The angel appeared for the rescue when we were still blurred >_< Thank you auntie for the treat! <3

Look at the colorful kuih.
The left one really nice. Must try!!
It's the combination of Tapioca, Banana and Coconut.
Very very special I can still remember how its taste.

We continue to walk around the area until we went into a 7-11 store.

Meiji Green tea milk

After wandering around for awhile, there was no much thing to see there. We decided to take tuktuk to go to Asean Night Market. It took about 10-15mins to reach there. The Central Festival Mall is just located beside the Night Market. The place is surprisingly hugeee!! There are lots of stores which sells clothes, shoes, phone cases, bags, accessories, pets and many more. The second floor sells many kinds of foods and drinks too.

Mini sushi. We bought a few pieces to try.

Sweet corns
Some random food
We bought many fruits back to hotel.
I love green mangoes and its sweet chili dip sauce :P

Delicious pork soup noodles :P
Seriously I can consume more than a bowl of this.
Little guinea pigs at pet store. So fluffy :>
Look at this vintage barber shop (Y)

After spending a few hours there, I couldn't feel my legs anymore lol. Totally exhausted. Initially we wanted to go to massage center, but there were two locals told us that it's better to get the hotel massage service as it's safer and the price is same at around 300baht. So we took their advice and went back to hotel.

We ended the fun and also tiring day with the super painful thai massage lol. Feeling lagi teruk haha. We had a good sleep and couldn't wait for the next day to come. Continue our story at next blog!

The tuktuk driver was already waiting us at the hotel lobby at 9am. He greeted us brightly and asked what's on our plan today.

First things first, let's have something yummy to kick-start the day. We went to the well-known breakfast place at Hatyai, Lucky Dimsum. We queued to take number from a Chinese man which I guessed it's the shop owner. It was very quick to reach our turn.
